Do Running Start applicants usually find out later despite being excellent students?

Also, are there any non-OOS students who applied before December, yet haven’t heard back yet?

i guess that since there is one extra transcript that has to be processed for running start students, they could maybe find out later. i don’t know.

The reason I asked this was because of an earlier topic that seemed to put all Running Start kids in a longer wait. Also, I have a friend who is a full-time running start student who said that the majority of his non-RS friends got letters, while none of his RS friends had even got changed statuses.

I am running start and have yet to even move to the “all materials received” stage.

However, one of my friends, who will be close to getting his AA before graduating hs, was accepted back in early January.

I don’t think it matters much.

S was admitted in December of 2005 with 46 hrs of RS. He is in his second year at UW .

Parabella, things may have changed since then. The university has since moved to a much more holistic admissions process and no longer determines admissions based on charts and stats alone.

Nonetheless, my status did change to the final stage, and I technically applied as an RS student (thought it was solely for college jazz band and not for credits).

The year S applied was the year UW moved to the holistic process. :)

I was a RS student last year and remember the process going pretty quickly. I think I applied very close to the last deadline and then heard back a couple weeks later.
