<p>I didn’t know about this grant and I don’t have it listed on my award letter so I guess I won’t be getting it. Who actually gets this grant?</p>
<p>The Rutgers Assistance Grant program started in the 1990-1991 academic year
with a budget of $1.3 million. Each year the budget has been increased to offset the cost of tuition increases for the most financially disadvantaged students, both EOF and non-EOF. A small portion of the fund is used to help in hardship circumstances in all segments of the student population. The program currently has an annual budget of $12 million.</p>
