<p>What are the student age range in Rutgers (New Brunswick, Newark or Camden) freshman dorms? I’m 21 and will be entering as a freshman, and fear that I will be awkward. What are the age ranges? and will I share classes with all freshmen as well?</p>
<p>I don’t go to Rutgers but I can just tell you that most universities’ freshmen classes actually have 18-19 year olds in them.
You should expect to be in the minority, especially if you are living in the freshmen dorms.</p>
<p>You should also expect people to be slightly weirded out (just being truthful) but after you tell you story to them (basically why you are starting school “late”) they will start to accept you on a personal basis instead of judging you.</p>
<p>Also, since you are 21, definitely expect to be asked to buy booze for your dormmates. You should decide before you get there whether you will buy for all of these people or if you would refuse.</p>
<p>If I were you, I would just not mention my age until you absolutely have to. This way people won’t judge you based on your age but on your actual personality first. Along this same vain, people can also see your age on Facebook so they might figure it out that way if you don’t tell them.</p>

<p>Just tell you them you are 19 so that they won’t ask you to buy alcohol.</p>
