HI All…my son got into the SAS Honors Program thru the Rutgers Business School…not sure how that works? Ist just the honors program but not the college?

What is the difference between honors college and honors program? Is one harder to get into/more prestigious than thr other?

@CS_Parent My email letter is standard. The Honors portal showed my acceptances into the Honors Colleges though!
My stats are: 1580 SAT, 4.8 GPA. 760 SAT Chem, 800 Math 2 SAT.

Congratulations!!! The Honors Program is separate from the Honors College. The latter has a separate dorm and is interdisciplinary.

@totcol, if the honors program is separate from honors college, is it harder to get into? Also is the only difference between program and college that college is interdisciplinary and has its own dorm?
My son just heard and got accepted in Honors College. They said merit awards may come in next week. Rutgers is now on his top 2.
Is Honors Program a competitive program to get into? Is housing the only difference? What are the significant differences between HC and HP? Will it look different on a degree?
