Rutgers PharmD--SAT vs. ACT

my first time for SAT i got a 1370 (math/reading combined) and 1980 all together.
my second time i got a 1340 :frowning: (math/reading combined) and 2020 all together.

“best combined” is 2050.

Anyway, my sat’s are obviously pretty low for the rutgers pharmd program. (im out of state, too.)
my grades are mostly A’s with many many AP’s and Honors.
and I am on student government, clubs w. leadership positions, and varsity sports.

I’m taking the ACTs in september and really going to try to do so well on them.

will the maybe high ACT score compensate for the low SAT’s?
They do consider ACT’s, right?

and what about SAT 2’s. whats the deal with those? unnecessary,?

please help me out, i’d really appreciate it (:

they look at both SAT and ACT. and you can submit either. i took both and submitted ACT’s.
everything else you have should be fine. just bump up your score a little and you should be good.
If you need a good pharmD program backup try USP. good luck dude.

act - 35
sat 2 math 2 - 800
sat 2 bio - 790
sat 2 chem - 800

im enrolling in the pharmD program this fall

Your math and critical reading SAT scores should each be close to 700 or higher, so your scores are low. Most people do better on the ACTs, so take the ACTs, send that score to admissions, and don’t send your SAT score. You should check the website on the Rutgers Pharm’s policy on SAT 2s. I took them anyway (for me: math 2, physics, US history) because they were required for other colleges I was applying to.
