I have heard mixed things - are they equal to the other schools in the area ? (Hun, Pingry, Pennington)?
I’m looking at this school too, can’t even find a matriculation report. They only posted “acceptance report” - which can be very misleading because a top student can get multiple acceptance letters
Actually, @PrincetonRealtor , the acceptance report has value because it shows where kids had the option to attend. It is quite common for kids to matriculate at “lesser” schools than where they were accepted because of the financial aid offered. In fact, for most students, at most schools, affordability has to be a major consideration.
The trickier part, however, is knowing whether a lot of students were accepted to top schools or whether a handful of standout students received a pile of prestigious acceptances. It’s also hard to know whether there were factors such as athletics, legacy, and parent faculty (big influence on Princeton acceptances in this cohort) that won’t apply to most students.
All you can tell is that in the right circumstances, they’ll accept students from that school. I wouldn’t get too hung up on college data. (Some schools may tell you "80% of our students were accepted by schools classified by x as most selective. " Even then, you won’t know if the other 20% were rejected or didn’t apply.)
