<p>How much weight is put on the Rutgers essay…I mean if its a decent one…will it stop me from getting in or just count as a neutral (meaning no harm done and at the same time no boost)</p>

<p>if by superscore, you mean takes the best of all sats, then yes, that’s regulation. essay is only for scholarship consideration. won’t hurt you, ever, because it’s optional; like EC on a test. If you’re borderline getting in, they may refer to that, but that’s last resort. </p>
