So , is waitlist worse than deferred ? Lower chances to be accepted ? Or not necessarily ? Son admitted to SEBS, waitlisted SAS.

deferred is known by RD date. waitlist I think will be known only in June so quite late after one has enrolled in a collegeā€¦

Depends. If deferred, the outcome could be yes, no, or waitlist. But if already waitlisted, depends on size of waitlist and how much the college relies on the list.

If we are talking about EA applicants how does college make a decision to defer one applicant to RD and waitlist another ? What is the logic here ? Anyone can explain ?

will submit LOCI by the end of the week. Should have first sem grades also by the end of the week, but dont those get sent by your high school anyway? I wasnt planning on putting them in the LOCI.

You submit LOCI? Just email the admission or it can be submitted directly on the portal ?

Weā€™re talking about Purdue which has a specific LOCI form in their portal. I donā€™t know how Rutgers does it.

S24 in state
got into RBS Newark, waitlisted for RBS NB, but into Economics at RU NB (SAS), 4.63 gpa w and 3.9 uw; 8 AP classes and 4s on AP exams, didnā€™t submit SAT (although really good but didnā€™t risk it), many activities and work 25 hours week during school and varsity letter 3 years.

However, he did get into UT Knoxville business and U of SC business with merit from both and Indiana Kelley school of Business - waiting on merit.

Waiting on a 6 others.

S24 RBS NB denied. Wait listed SAS. In state. 32 ACT 9APā€™s Honors rest plus calc and stats. 3.65UW 4W. Year round sports, plus part time job during year and summers and standard clubs. Super competitive this year.

Does have other options including Binghamton SOM that includes Merit so wasnā€™t first choice but was top 3.

Purdue did mention in the deferral letter to send them the 1st semester grades along with the LOCI so I just did that
