My D24 was deferred EA a couple of weeks ago. Updated her SRAR with semester 1 grades over the weekend. Accepted today (maybe last night but she didn’t notice until this morning). School of Engineering, NB. In state.

Edited to add: I just looked in the portal and it reads: Conditional admit Engineers of the Future Program.

The decision glossary has this to say:

Congratulations! You have been admitted to the Engineers of the Future program at the Rutgers University–New Brunswick School of Engineering. Your admission is conditioned on the successful completion of the Engineers of the Future Summer Institute.

This five-week summer program is free of charge and provides an experience designed to ease your transition to college as well as advising and counseling support throughout your academic career.

Anyone know when transfer results release my apllication results. Application has been in review since January 31

Hi I have a question. Today We got the same admission “ Conditional admit Engineers of the Future. However I am very confused, is this EOF summer institute for low income students? We are not qualified for low income EOF, why this admission is conditional admit engineers of the future? Thanks in advance

I’m still researching and trying to figure it out. We are not low income, either, but it seems as though SoE includes students who they have identified as potentially needing the same types of academic support as offered via EOF. Personally, my D24’s math SAT score (680) is on the lower end of the typically-accepted SoE student, so I’m thinking that is one of the reasons she was selected? Rutgers has been lowest on her list, as I’ve had concerns that she would get lost in the sink or swim environment there, but the more I am learning about this program, the more of a plus it feels in our case.

Here’s what I learned about the required program:

Thank you very much. I am also researching to get more information on this Engineer of future program. Last month we also got admission to SAS with no condition. I really don’t know which school to choose? SAS admission or the SOE admission with condition? Which one is better?

Does your student want to be an engineer? If so, the direct admit to SoE. If they change their mind, they can always transfer to a major in SAS, but I don’t think it works the other way.

Yes, he wants to be an engineer. We are just wondering if we are qualified for the engineer of future program since we are not low-income.

What are his stats?

When does honor decision come out?

Did anyone hear about any aid from Rutgers?

Not yet.

Did anyone get a physical mailing yet? None here, yet.

Did anyone notice in the mailing that we got, it says that once you accept/enroll, you will get the details about the Open House for accepted students? My daughter wants to attend the accepted student’s day in order to decide if she wants to attend. Is there no way to register without enrolling first? I saw that it was April 13th from the link someone posted above but my daughter said she doesn’t know how to sign up for attendance that day.
