Stepped up my morning walk and added bursts of running…ok more like a plodding jog…but my glamorous big framed movie star sunglasses are bouncing all over my face. I looked to replace them with a sporty pair of Oakleys but just the Rx lenses were $600.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Try Costco…I don’t have Rx sunglasses but I do have regular several pair of Rx glasses, contacts. I think they also put Rx lenses into a frame of your choice from another vendor.

I use Ironman brand sunglasses that I got from Sports Authority for tennis and running. I don’t know if you can put in prescription lenses or not.

I wear contacts when I play tennis (and at no other time). Would you be up for contacts?

I hardly hear much about prescription sunglasses since most everyone seems to wear contacts. I wear sport glasses over my contacts for running.

I always wear contacts when I work out, I just sweat too much to wear glasses.
( I also have photo reactive lenses in my glasses)

Rudy Project sunglasses are pretty popular around here for runners, and I know you can get Rx inserts for them. Quite a few of them (maybe all?) seem to be pressure fit rather than hook-over-the-ears types that bounce.

You might want to pm MomOfWildChild, since she is the guru of all that is running on the board.

Unfortunately it will be costly if you want to replace the Oakley lenses(costco will not do that). I paid about the same or little less for my perscription skiing sun glasses. It is style vs practality. You could get a Costco Perscription Sun Glass for about $150 but you do not get the Oakley style. The cheapest is to use your regular glass and put a $5 clip on overlay, it looks bad, but it works.

Life would be so much simpler if contacts were an option, sadly they are not. I will look into the Rudy Project sunglasses, thanks arabrab.

I got a pair of glasses from this company and they have Oakley [Contact Lenses, Designer Eyeglasses, Sunglasses & More | Coastal](http://www.coastal.com/search.ep?keyWords=oakley&x=0&y=0)

We got sunglasses that fit over our glasses- they help by having a top rim that blocks the sun- polarized, cost $20 at places like Walmart. Polarshield brand? I can’t justfy spending megabucks on prescription sunglasses. The only problem is, despite air vents, less air circulation- heat /sweat.
