do uc’s look down on s/nc on transcripts when applying to transfer?

bump???

What does ‘s’ mean?

They don’t generally ‘look down’ per se… But it’s kind of like W’s, I think. I hear more than 4 is a no-no.

Totally depends. If your applying under TAG agreement your essays and W’s, NC’s, D’s whatever doesn’t matter. All that matters is that you meet the TAG requirements. 3.0 UC GPA, finished Eng and Math on time etc. The TAG agreement can be found on the UC website. W’s, NC’s, D’s, and F’s have nothing to do with whether you will be accepted under the TAG agreement (as far as “looking down” is concerned). They will, however, make a difference if they inhibit you from meeting the TAG requirements.

s is satisfactory and nc is not completed. like pass/fail. im not in tag tho. i plan on transferring uc to uc

I know at least from CC you are not suppose to take credic no credit with pre reqs and maybe igetc as well? I know the only class I took it with was my remedial math class.

Well, in that case, yes they do matter.
