<p>This did not occur to me until now, but I just realized my sabbatical might require an addenda.</p>
<p>I took a year off after junior year (senior year is upcoming) and spent most of my time working in the mountains at a resort (as a snowmaker/ski instructor/lift operator). These jobs allowed me to save enough money to pay for an accelerated summer language program in Taiwan (fifteen weeks of fun!).</p>
<p>It was a slack way to spend the year, but I thought it was necessary given the comedy of disasters of my first three years of college. (Again, eviction/financial aid snafus/family emergencies-legitimate distractions.)</p>
<p>Any thoughts on how this might affect my application? Should I reveal the reasoning behind my year as a ski bum?</p>
