One of my coworkers until she left a few weeks ago was in a terrible auto accident we just learned. Her friend was killed and she is very critical. She was just in last week to say Hi and pickup a few things. Very nice girl and former Husky Mascot. You just never know. I feel very badly for her parents too. Hard to work right now.

God, what a ghastly accident. I hope your co-worker pulls through and makes a full recovery, Barrons. Things like this highlight how fragile life is, how everything can turn on a dime…:(

We got a very good update today. Major injuries were a ruptured spleen and broken jaw. They had feared major other internal injuries but everything else was pretty much OK. Full recovery expected. Everyone is very relieved. Unfortunately she did lose her boyfriend. Things really can change in a second with one bad decision. Have not heard if drinking was involved. It was a nice day and many young people were celebrating Cinco de Mayo which is very big around here for some reason.

Thank goodness! The pictures were pretty awful. We all need to be grateful for every day and every minute that we get. Take nothing for granted. Cinco de Mayo is big here too.

I am so glad that your friend’s prognosis is so much better than expected. It’s still an awful tragedy that her boyfriend was killed. I hate hearing about young people dying.

Barrons, thank you for the update. I’m so happy to hear that she is going to be OK. When I saw the picture, I could not believe that someone could survive this terrible accident. It is so tragic that her boyfriend did not…

Barrons,
So sorry for your friends loss, but glad to hear she will be ok. Thoughts and best wishes to you, your office, your friend and her family-- and especially to the friends and family of the deceased. How tragic.
