Safety Colleges for the picky?

Ciao, I am a senior who is looking for the last few colleges to apply to and those are my safety ones. My gpa weighed is 3.7 and unweighed 3.6-ish but it will go up this Fall. I am very active on campus with main clubs (Key Club) and alternatives(local community service type and tutoring), i do swim as a sport and have good relations to my teachers. I think i’m a good candidate for many of the colleges i selected in my top 7.
Which are:
Stanford (Far-reach but gotta try)
Notre Dame (Beautiful and again a reach)
San Diego State University (local and my major)
University of California San Diego (again local and good programs, not my exact major)
University of Irvine (In-state and good chance of getting in >>> 42% last i check)
Vanguard ( A safety >>> 74% and has my major and in state :O, but i dont know if financial its a true safe)
University of Southern California (Best in state and top in my major)

My intended major is Kinesiology and my graduate is a bit open to Physical Therapist or i might go military pilot . . .both are something i really like to go into.
I am not a big fan of East Coast despite many good schools there. I am a Californian and love the ocean and would like to be on the coast or very least school pool. I would like a good dorm or local housing choices. And of course easier to get into or an almost guarantee. Suggestions

Vanguard is VERY different from the other universities you chose.
It’s good you’re looking for safety colleges because right now, you have two matches and 4 reaches, a very unbalanced list.
Safeties:
CSU San Bernardino
Arizona State
College of Idaho
HUmboldt
Linfield
St Mary’s of CA

Match:
Cal State Chico Honors
Seattle Pacific (Honors??)
Regis
LMU-LA

Dude, Stanford and Notre Dame don’t even HAVE kinesiology departments.

Is Vanguard a for-profit college? If so I’d avoid it.

Here are the state universities in California with relevant majors (from http://www.assist.org ). In addition, UCB has physical education course options within its integrative biology major (but would not generally be a safety).

Safeties must be affordable. Have your parents told you the price limit, and have you checked each school’s net price calculator? Your test scores are also relevant in determining what can be a safety, although if you have a 3.0 GPA calculated by the CSU method, you will be admitted to a non-impacted CSU where your major is not impacted (however, most CSUs are impacted). You can read about CSU impaction here: http://www.calstate.edu/sas/impactioninfo.shtml</a> .

Vanguard University is a religiously affiliated school (Assemblies of God).

What are your test scores and how much will your parents pay?

Safeties have to be affordable.

CSULB/CSU Fullerton have very good Kinesiology programs and should be affordable if you live in the immediate area. Yes, test scores would be helpful and if you are able to commute to either Cal State, that would definitely help with affordability if you are in-need of financial aid.
