what would be some good safety colleges for me to apply to. i live in mn i have a 3.9 gpa and im in the top 15% of my class. i would like to go premed so major in biology.

Minnesota has some excellent public universities. Beyond that, it pretty much depends on your interests and preferences.

And by the way, are you aware that bio majors generally don’t do as well as humanities, social science, or physical science majors in med school admission? If you’re passionately interested in bio, by all means major in it; but don’t do it just because you think it will give you a leg up for med school, because it won’t.

University of Miami is pretty good for pre med.

Also, Franklin & Marshall, in Pennsylvania.

???..Just because you’re pre-med doesn’t mean that you have to major in bio. If you excel at bio and love bio, then fine. But, major in what you’re strong in for pre-med. Besides, if you don’t end up going to med school, having a bio degree is rather job-limiting.

What are your TEST scores?

How much will your FAMILY pay? A safety has to be affordable…so you have to know that all costs are covered by assured grants, assured merit or family money.
