Hi there I am a senior living in Texas and I was too busy working on other applications that I forgot that my college advisor told me that I needed the safety school. With the colleges I selected, I avoided using common app and apply texas and I really don’t want to have to fill out either of those if I am only going to submit it to one school that I really will have no interest in.
Can you think of any college/university that is easy to get into ~70% admission or so. And low tuition maybe <$15K (preferably $10K) and don’t use common app or apply texas. I really don’t care if it is some obscure school that so one has ever heard of. I just need something.

I applied to HBU it’s easy

What about West Texas A&M?

Apply to UH. Good school and decent fees

Texas State is pretty easy to get into

All of the state schools use apply texas unless some have additional ways.

You’re really not going to find a four-year university or college in Texas that has that low of a cost without using ApplyTexas. Just fill out ApplyTexas; it’s worth your time, and since you already said you’ve filled out other applications, you won’t need to complete more essays (since the essay topics will most likely fit what you have already most likely written for other applications) if you have to even submit essays at all.

Most of Texas universities don’t require any essay at all.

I’d try either Texas State or University of North Texas. Both are good schools that are relatively easy to get into.

Also, ApplyTexas is really easy to use. Way easier and less time consuming than Common App imo.

So you want an application that’s easier to fill out than ApplyTexas or the Common Application? And you don’t want to put any effort into it since it’s a school you have no interest in. That’s not the definition of a safety school. A safety school is one that you can get into, afford, and want to go to. Imagine a worst case scenario and you only get into your safety school (or can only afford to go to the safety school)–maybe at that point you might will have wanted to put some more thought and effort into the process? And depending on your grades a private school could be cheaper and easier to get into that a state school.

University of Texas Pan-American located in Edinburg, Texas is a safety school & it’s part of the UT system.

Ditto to everything sadilly said. You should be asking what school fits you - financially, in your academic area, other preferences - not just which is easiest to apply to. Give us some info on your stats/area of interest and maybe we can help you pick a safety that makes sense.

Just for the record. For the person that said UH is an easy school to get into, the acceptance rate is 63.6%. This is the same as Texas A&M.

I’d say UNT. It’s very easy to get into, and even if you are in the third quarter of your class, you only need a 26 ACT or 1180 SAT. Denton is also a great college town, and the music scene is great.

Texas A&M has a much stronger student body than UH via class ranks and SAT scores. Looking at only acceptance rates is misleading.
