Safties

I applied ED to Brown, and I’m thinking about Hamilton and Swarthmore as safties. Anyone have any other suggestions?

i wouldn’t consider Swarthmore a safety for the vast majority of people, it has a relatively low acceptance rate. There are people who have gotten into Brown but not Swarthmore.

I wouldn’t consider Hamilton a safety for the vast majority of people either…especially those who can’t spell “safeties” right

yeah, i don’t know as much about Hamilton but from what I’ve heard it’s very selective too.
maybe the OP meant school they’re applying to if they don’t get into Brown?

It’s “safety” or “safeties”

Lol. Give the guy a break. In short, no, you can not consider Swarthmore a safety.

hahaha NJ

And Swarthmore’s def not a safety, bjvise.

swartmore isn’t a safety for anyone. it’s extremely selective.

here are some other reaches, matches and some safeties

reaches:
yale
columbia
penn
stanford
swarthmore
williams
amherst
pomona

matches:
tufts
mccalaster
carleton
weslyan
oberlin
vassar
carnegie mellon
Reed

safeties (a safety is a school you KNOW you can get into)
lewis and clark
willamette
university of puget sound
clark
hamilton (match?)
Rochester

to name a few. ask me why

why? hehe, you asked for it.

University of Rochester would be a true safety for someone with a decent shot at Brown & has a similar open curriculum.

There are many many LAC’s that are less selective than Brown.

I wouldn’t choose Swarthmore if I were you–really leftist.
Remember?

aaanywaay, thirteen days till you find out!

don’t kill me viseceviche.
