So, I went to National Portfolio Day at School of the Art Institute of Chicago in September, my portfolio was approved, and I received the email encouraging me to apply for Merit Scholarship by December 1.
I finished applying for SAIC, submitted my merit portfolio, and today (December 14) I received my acceptance letter from SAIC. However, I did not get any Merit Scholarship info. Do you know when I will receive it if I applied Dec 1? They said the would notify me by the holidays but I’m wondering if they just met they would tell me if I got in or not.

Also, I have a question about the rules.

RULES:
- Students must be admitted to SAIC before participating in the merit scholarship competition.
- All merit portfolios should be properly labeled.
- Students should specify which work is to be included in the merit scholarship competition.
- Students that defer their enrollment will forfeit their merit scholarships and must compete again the following semester.
- Do not include work that was specifically prepared for the portfolio admission requirements of other art schools, colleges, or universities.
- ALWAYS include the names of the other artists who contributed to the completion of any collaborative piece and note each contributor’s roles.
- Failure to follow any guideline will result in automatic disqualification for scholarship consideration.

Although my portfolio was accepted at NPD, and they encouraged me to apply for Merit, I don’t know if I followed rule #3. I applied using slideroom but I didn’t specify that it was for merit scholarship consideration. Do you think my chances are hurt?
Thanks
