Salford?

I would love to study international relations and the University of Salford looks like a great place to be for that. Am I right about this? What is student life like? Is it good for international students? Are there any other suggestions for schools that have good international studies programs?

Sorry for so many questions :)

No. Much better options out there.

Terrible university. Avoid. Would not go there if they paid me.

I went to Salford uni for a music competition once. The area is pretty rough (actually for England, really really rough). It’s not a very highly ranked uni in the UK, so will be virtually unheard of internationally. Salford is basically part of Manchester, so if you are looking for a uni in that part of the world, consider Manchester uni instead.

The University of St Andrews is well-known for its International Relations program. You should check it out. It’s located in Fife, Scotland, and is very beautiful and an excellent university. I think (but don’t quote me on it), it’s ranked third in the UK, behind Oxford and Cambridge.

Best of luck. :)
