The Knights won their second consecutive WNEPBL crown Sunday, May 19, with a 15-0 victory over visiting Suffield Academy. The team celebrated and piled onto each other in the infield after the last out was recorded, a culmination of a dominating weekend for the Knights which saw them score 35 runs total over two games. Like Saturday’s game, Salisbury jumped on the board early, scoring nine runs in the bottom of the first inning, seven of them with two outs. Will Toffey 14 got the first two runs on the board when he tripled to right center field, scoring Lucas Amato 13 and Tom Mahala 13. After a couple of outs, the next seven Knights reached base safely. Both Tim Kensinger 13 and Aaron Rodriguez 13 had RBI singles to left while Toffey collected his second hit of the inning with an RBI single as well. Salisbury would then add another six runs in the bottom of the second, highlighted by a two-out, two RBI triple by Ryley MacEachern 13, scoring both Amato and Toffey.

The Knights would not score again the rest of the day, but given the impressive performance of starting pitcher Jacob Lamb 14, it would not matter. Lamb went wire to wire for Salisbury, allowing only three hits and striking out nine batters. The win was Lambs eighth of the year and his most impressive performance of the season.

Salisbury will play their last game of the season Monday, May 20, at home against rival Hotchkiss.
