I have a pretty pathetically low GPA that basically seals my fate for the “good” schools I dream of going to like Cal, but is enough to get into the state schools like SFSU or Cal State East Bay. I learned this the hard way by getting rejected from SLO because of 2 things - 2.543 cumulative GPA at the JC I am attending currently and not taking the pre-reqs SLO calls for. I’m going back to the JC, and not screwing myself even more by attending SFSU, so is there any hope for me as far as getting into a school with more respect? I do have something on the autism spectrum and some ADD, and that in itself is a struggle for me.

Raise your gpa and note your learning disabilities in your application (do CSU’s even have a place to put that?).

I’m assuming you have 60 semester units, but are they all from a cc? and are you at a CA cc? If you have an F’s or D’s re-take those courses, finish all major prep courses, hopefully you can get your GPA to around 3.0.

There’s no essay or personal statements for CSU.

I have 60 or so units from DVC up here in Pleasant Hill. What killed me for Cal Poly wasn’t having econ/accounting and calculus. I’m talking to an counselor first thing next week.
