Same Course, Same Professor, Different Section- Same curve?

So if the same professor teaches two sections of the same course (back to back, actually), is it on the same curve exact curve? is it just one massive curve with everyone in both classes, or two separate curves?

The courses I’m mainly interested in are basic courses, like psyc 001, etc.

thanks

Ask the professor. The way the classes are curved is almost entirely dependent on that professor’s personal preferences, with maybe just a little pressure from their departments on how many A’s/B’s etc. to give out.

Each prof. does whatever he wants like PA said, but I would expect that if all sections take the same midterm/final then there is just a single curve but if there is more than 1 version of the test each section would have its own curve.

See my earlier post on curves. Every professor does his own thing when it comes to curves, but in this case it’s likely to be curved across all sections.
