In a somewhat recent turn of events, I find I will be in San Diego with free time on 9/5/24.

Whereabouts will you be? I’m on Point Loma - just don’t want to drive very far. Happy to meet but I don’t do much night driving anymore.

I land Thursday at 2. I’ll be checking into a Marriott nearby overnight.
My DD is making that reservation for me with her points; not sure yet exactly which one.
On Friday I’ll head over to an Airbnb on Coronado for the weekend with them.
So, if flight lands on time, I can meet for an early dinner and get you home by dark.
Or I can Uber toward Point Loma.
Likely either the Courtyard or TownePlace Suites; both very close. I can pick you up and there are several nice restaurants nearby on the bay. We can PM if no one else joins the conversation. I don’t mind night driving in my area!
I’ll keep you posted once I get the details.

I’m in North County. If I left my house at 4 pm, I wouldn’t get there until 6ish? I’ve driven to the airport often at that time, on Thursdays (daughter’s flights). Padre Games impact the drive though. Let me know when and where.
I just checked, and there is a home Padre’s game that evening.

I checked the attendees from 2016 - some haven’t been on CC for a long time. No one else from 2023. Some LA etc. posters but really that’s too far for this. And lots of people visit relatives here.
