I am starting the SDSU discussion since Cal State Apply has opened with a submission deadline of November 30 this year.
Historically SDSU has offered an Early admission decision for some High stat/Honors college invitees, local admission area applicants, Out of State and International students.
2026 Decision Timeline
Fall 2026: Early admits starting December 18, 2025 through January 2026. Freshman admits started posting on March 5, 2026 around 11 am PST while Freshman Waitlists and denials were posted March 23, 2026 around 10 am PST

You are welcome to discuss anything of interest ( San Diego State University - College Confidential Forums ) along with posting your admission decision.
SDSU admits based on the CSU Capped weighted GPA, HS course rigor, # of a-g course requirements taken above the minimum, Intended major, preparation of towards major study, local admission area status and first generation status.
EC’s are not considered in the admission process but SDSU now considers alternate majors. There is however a section on the CSU application where you can indicate hours/week spent on EC’s.
