Only 2 UC’s have confirmed decision dates: UCSB March 19 and UCB on March 28. UCM, UCR and UCSC have already posted some decisions.
possibly stupid question: is there a separate portal for SDSU, or do decisions come in the cal application portal? I’m oos and perpetually confused.
Ours came by email, and actually went to spam. We are also oos. Hope this helps.
Each college you apply has a separate student portal that needs to be setup. Decisions are usually posted in the portal first and then an email will be sent later.

Concindentally, C24 got an email yesterday from SDSU, asking for their unofficial transcript so that they could review C’s English classes. I guess when C asked for mid-year transcripts, they forgot to specify SDSU in addition to their common app schools.
So of course I’m over here wondering what it all means. On the one hand, that they asked C for the information must mean that they haven’t dismissed C’s application. On the other hand, it’s not great that C overlooked that pretty important step. Regardless, my kid sent them a scan of the printed copy of their transcript, and has requested the counselor send the mid-year update asap. Here’s hoping it’s not too late/the thing that sinks their app.
SDSU normally does not ask for Mid-year transcript to make admission decisions so they want to verify the English courses to make sure they meet the A-G requirements. This is not uncommon for SDSU. Is she an OOS applicant?
yes. They took 9th grade English in 8th grade, then Eng 10, Ap Lang, AP Lit, creative writing and speech.
Since her English course progression is different than most CA students applying, they probably to want to verify she meets the CSU English course requirements. CSU application normally only recognizes HS level courses taken in Middle school for Math and LOTE. Is the 9th grade English course on her HS transcript? Speech and Creative writing are considered Electives G Category and not in the English B Category.
There is a specific way to fill out HS level courses taken in MS on the CSU application:
- If you completed courses in 7th or 8th grade that fulfilled A-G subject requirements, select the appropriate middle school grade level along with your first high school attended in 9th grade and your 9th-grade academic year.
Yes, it’s on their HS transcript and they put it into the CSU application the way it said to (at least, I think they did! I reviewed their app but can’t remember all of the details now)
Their high school wouldn’t let them take 10th grade English in 9th grade, which is why their only English class in 9th was creative writing. It was a weird, frustrating artifact from an acceleration program that C24 started in first grade.
I am sure everything is fine based on how it was reported. They are just double checking.
@Gumbymom you were right! C24 just called me; they’ve been accepted!
Not sure if they’re in for their major (theatre performance, which required an audition video), because C hasn’t checked the portal. But still, they’re super psyched!
Congratulations!!!
S24 in state got accepted today for music technology (MRTAD)!
Congrats! Out of state or in state?
In-state taxpayer!
If my son still hasn’t heard back from SDSU Direct Entry Nursing, would it be safe to assume that he did not get in? I’ve been hearing of so many others getting their acceptances. His student portal still has no update.
No Decision means No Decision. Not worth speculating until you find out for sure.
Does anyone know when Weber Honors decisions come out?
I believe the Honors college decisions come out at the end of March.
