I know that both schools are not ranked very well, but which college is better if one wants to become a pharmacist. I know that Washington State University has a pharmacy school, so I do not know if that college is better fore pre-pharmacy.

It depends what is important to you as they are very different.

Cost: If a pharm program is in your future, this is pretty important.

Location: SD, a great city, or the Palouse, a great area for wheat and lentils.

Student Body: About 1/3 commuters in SD or almost none in Pullman.

Reputation: Nationally, maybe about the same but WSU is pretty well thought of in the NW. SD State isn’t even the best college in the city.

Placement rates: I couldn’t find it, but this is also important.

I have a son at WSU if you want to hear some more particular +/-s of the school.

Academically, they are pretty comparable. SD is a very different world than Pullman. I can’t imagine a student that’s seen both wouldn’t have a strong preference for one or the other. In the end, the one I’d pay in-state tuition to would win out.

.

Academically, both are similar and equally regarded in their respective regions.
SDSU is one of the CSU’s that is hardest to get into; it’s super impacted; San Diego is an awesome city.
WSU is not impacted and Pullman isn’t San Diego…
As NCalRent said, I can’t imagine a student not having a preference for one or the other.
However in terms of academics or career prospects they’re very similar so I’d go with the cheapest option.
Which is the cheapest for you?
(How much does each cost, after scholarships but before any loan?)
