<p>I apologize for the long read, but really appreciate those who stuck it out to give me some input. I was deferred from Harvard, I can see why, my test scores are relatively low, and I’m not THAT special compared to CC, but I’m hoping to get into:</p>

<p>yep! although my school doesnt’ offer many, cause half our school day is spent on the arts. I’ve taken two (English Language and U.S. History) Junior Year, and Four this year (Am. Democ.+Macro, Euro, Lit, Psych), and AP Stats in the summer, although I didn’t get credit for it. I appreciate any feedback! I’ve been feeling low since I got that deferral :(</p>

<p>i think that the SAT/SATII scores are just hard to overlook when so many other applicants have significantly higher scores…your ec’s are massive but i think, though you have grouped them under categories, that even within categories they are very diverse and via a cursory glance (what an admissions officer will conduct) appear to lack focus despite the impressive positions you have assumed and awards you have won…you definitely are justified in applying to these schools but i hope you may have provided more focus in your essays as this would be a great benefit…good luck, you’ve obviously put in a lot of hard work during your hs career</p>

<p>your opinion is really valuable to me and I really appreciate it. thank you! It might be too late for my essays, but I hope in my interviews from now on (i’ve already done Yale and Harvard), I’ll be able to provide more of a focus, thanks to your comments. I hope there’s more!!</p>

<p>I also have a question on top of any comments, if anyone is able to answer it: I was wondering if I am more of a well rounded student, or if I have many specializations in art and politics? Which one do you think adcoms would think I am? Which would be more beneficial? I do hope to continue acting, and I think it’s hard to find a chinese actor with pre-professional training.</p>

<p>i am basically bumping this thread but i just wanted to say hi 'cause you go to SOTA. i am another san franciscan and i have friends there so its pretty neat. i think you have a pretty good chance but you are definitely no sure thing. ace the interviews and good luck!
oh and btw, you guys are number 2? I didn’t know that. Lowell obviously is number one correct?</p>

<p>Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Stanford, probably not. Your uneven SATs and SAT2s will probably keep you out, though your impressive ECs may get you in or at least wait listed.</p>

<p>University of Pennsylvania, University of Chicago, and Swarthmore are pretty much matches for you. Expect to get into at least one of those schools.</p>

<p>With NYU and Tulane, I think you’ll have no problems. In at both.</p>

<p>I think you have an excellent chance at all. Your SATs are at or above average and will not lower any school’s ratings. You are clearly a leader and an organizer, something every school needs and wants. They know they can count on you to lead fun, constructive activities. Not another list of ECs that make you yawn…first chair violin…Pres od NHS…I think they’ll all want you!!</p>

i’d say you have a definite chance at all of those schools-- you’d probably get in to all of them
by the way, i’m from wash! (if you know what that is…- the Wash house! LOL)</p>
