Hi, I am currently a Junior at San Francisco State University majoring in History with a minor in Anthropology. I also hold two AA degrees from community college in Southern California.

I am intrested in transfer to University of Mass, Lowell for their online program.

Would I be a strong applicant? Is this a smart choice?

Please advise.

Thanks

I don’t think the online program at UMass is particularly selective, so if that’s what you want to do, go for it.

if you’re already a junior, then you might have too many units to transfer. Do research on their website and see if they do senior transfers/if they have a unit limit for entering transfers.

how can we assess whether or not you’re a strong applicant without GPA/extra-curriculars? Though as the person above said, this program is likely not selective, so I don’t know how relevant a strong GPA / ECs would be.
