San Jose State Class of 2029 Official Thread

Ok I guess I made a mistake on the gpa calculation then. But the only way I was able to reach 3.86 manually with 10th and 11th grades on GPA Calculator | CSU is by reducing my honors from 8 to 6. I’m not sure if that is correct. I took 2 AP’s in 10th and 2 AP’s in 11th. Does that mean I have 8 honors semesters or 6 honors semesters? It says that “No more than two approved honors-level courses taken in the 10th grade may be given extra points”. Sorry if I’m asking too many questions I just want to understand how they ended up with that gpa.

8 semesters of Honors points for 4 yearlong AP classes.

Ok then I don’t get how they reached the conclusion of 3.86, since 8 honors in the gpa calculator for 10th and 11th grades gives me 3.95. I am sure I am using the correct semester grades since I am entering in the same stuff as the “High School Coursework” section of the application.

You are welcome to PM me with your courses and grades if you want to double check.

Ok I PM’ed you

I would appreciate if anyone could provide some guidance on San Jose State University Civil Engineering program in terms on department and university ranking and most importantly career prospects after Graduating with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from San Jose State University (SJSU).

Also how does SJSU’s Civil Engineering program and Career prospects compare with Oregon State University?

Any guidance will be greatly appreciated!
