Hi, I’m a senior in high school and I have to commit to a school soon. I want to become a dentist and is probably going to major in the science field (probably bio). I’m deciding between SJSU and CU but I don’t know which one to choose. Here’s a list of the pros and cons for each school and any opinions would be great!

SJSU:

Pros: I like the big (bigger than Creighton) campus, tuition is cheaper, I probably have a easier time making friends here, and if I end up not continuing on the health route, their business major is what they’re known for (2nd choice of major)

Cons: Due to budget cut, might not be able to graduate in 4 years, not known for my major, homeless people could wander onto campus, the library is not just for the students at the school, too close to home (lives in CA)

Creighton:

Pros: they’re known for their health program, could graduate in 4 years, heard their are many internship and volunteering opportunities, I could find professors for help, and it’s far from home (wants to be away from home)

Cons: it’s a small campus, I might have a harder time to make friends, tuition is a bit pricey, have to take 6 religious classes due to their core curriculum (not a religious person), and if I end up not continuing on the health route, they don’t really have anything that’s good.

Does the environment play a factor in going to study at a school? Which school would be better for my case?

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thank You :)
