We received this as well. It appears to just be tied to some regional designation from the applicant’s zipcode.
My daughter got a ton of email leading up to the EA decisions. Kind of to keep people going and interested. She did get in, but I can’t say if there is any coloration between the number of emails she got and getting accepted.
Anyone know RD decision date?
Not officially, but I see in the past March 15 or 16 on a lot of posts about being accepted.
If anyone has insights news please share on date
I cannot see the withdrawl tab…is it the sign of decision notification time soon
Seems like a reasonable guess to me.
My best guess is still Friday, but who knows.
For you guys waiting on accpetance decisions, here is what we saw during the ED/EA day of decsion. The big image disappeared. Then late afternoon/early evening, a new image shows up if you got in. Santa Clara University Early Action / Early Decision for Fall 2024 Admission - #68 by MotherMother1
Some indications from old reddit threads that decisions usually come on Tuesdays? Hard to pin this one down.
The big picture on the login page is gone!
That is what we had and later that day we had a decisions. FYI, they also started updating the Preview Day (for accepted students) with more information, so I think this is it for you guys. Good luck!
I still have the big image on my portal. Does that mean anything?
Nothing yet, maybe not today?
From SCU’s website, it says Regular Decision applicants will be notified “via mail” by April 1. Does this mean it is not reported on the applicant portal?
Regular Decision (RD) Deadline: Jan. 7
Regular Decision is a non-binding admission program. It is the standard method of applying to a university and allows us to consider your full first semester or second trimester senior-year grades in our evaluation.
Regular Decision applicants are notified of their admission status via mail by April 1.
I took that to mean in addition to a portal update.
I searched posts on reddit, and found quite a few people posting that they’d been accepted on March 15-18. So I guess that’s the roughly average date that they notify.
EA was definitely on the portal.
my big picture isn’t on the portal anymore so decisions are probably right around the corner
