Hey congrats! Deferred from eaely action, now waiting RD. Hoping for the best.
When are the RD/ EA deferred decisions expected? Last year was Mar 18th (Monday) so I was hoping for today, but there are no signs of decision upload on the portal.
Historical decision dates:
Last year: Monday, March 18, around 3:05 pm
2023: Thursday, March 16, 3:14 pm
2022: Tuesday, March 15, 3:30 pm
2021: Wednesday, March 17, 3:20 pm
So I predict tomorrow, Tuesday, March 18th between 3-3:30 pm.

Any idea how soon before the decision release the portal look changes? I recall before EA the top picture disappeared and the portal looked quite different, but I can’t remember if it was the day before decisions or on the day of.

One of my sons was accepted to Leavey, and the other was waitlisted for EE. Does anyone know if my waitlisted son should submit a letter of continued interest?
How are you thinking about Leavey vs some of the other business schools ?
I don’t know much about Leavey or any of the other business schools, so we will have to do some research in the next some weeks. But we toured Santa Clara last Spring and liked the campus and have heard only great things about the school, especially about the strong career outcomes.
My son only applied to in-state schools and would prefer to go to a college that accepts him for a major that will lead to a business analytics career. Of the schools he was accepted to, he is also considering SDSU and CPP. He is on the waitlist at UCSD and would consider it if admitted. He was accepted to UCD for his alternate major, Managerial Economics, and would only be interested if he could change to his intended major later. He is on the waitlist for UCSB for econ, but there is no business school. Still waiting for UCLA and Cal Poly decisions.
What are your thoughts on the Leavey School vs. other business schools?

Yes, he should for sure submit a letter. (As a twin, if the other student is planning to actually enroll, you may have even more leverage.)
My twin sister and I are 1994 SCU grads. My daughter is seriously considering attending in the fall. Love the school! Go Broncos!

Not to over reply but SCU is amazing overall and very strong in Business. I am biased but I think it gets overlooked at times. Small classes, alumni connections, great location, strong student culture that is collaborative and fun.
We live in Nor Cal and some of my neighbors send kids to SDSU, UCSB etc for business and always comment later “I wish my kid chose Santa Clara”.
