Congrats to those accepted EA/ED! My son was so excited when he was admitted EA last year, though we were pretty unfamiliar with Santa Clara before researching business programs during his junior year (we are on the East Coast). He ended up choosing SCU and loves it there. It’s a terrific (and beautiful) place. From a parent perspective, they do an awesome job of supporting students while also encouraging independence and new experiences.
If you are disappointed to be deferred, I recall several students on the board being admitted during RD. Visiting and staying in touch with your admissions representative seems to help, too.

Hi!

So I got deferred and I accepted my application to be reviewed in the RD round. I was wondering if I should write a LOCI as well as uploading like couple of research posters of confer aces I’ve been to and presented at after applying to Santa Clara as additional materials?

S26 OOS accepted to Mechanical Engineering. SAT 1520, UW 3.92/Weighted 4.38, 10 APs total (5 with 5s (incl both Phys C & BC), 5 in progress) + Calc 3 dual enroll.

In your emails from SCU, there is a link to contact admissions counselor. You can email them expressing your strong interest in SCU, and ask them if submitting these materials would be helpful. Can’t hurt to reach out to the counselor.
