is that just for people transferring from a community college? based on the first website that lead to the second… it isn’t clear. i might be transferring from whitman and i dont fulfill those requirements… AHH

The specific community colleges listed are generally local colleges to Santa Clara University and SCU has gone through the process of deciding which classes at the community college match up with their own curriculum and thus will be awarded credit at SCU as an equivalent class.

Since Whitman is not on the list, you can only follow the General Guides - and when/if you get get accepted, your classes from Whitman will be screened by some official to decide which are acceptable for credit at SCU. What you want to do is try to take ones that are as close as possible to their core requirements so that when you transfer to SCU you hopefully will get as many credits transferred as possible and thus not have to spend extra quarters finishing up your degree at SCU.

Hope that help,

Yes. Don’t worry about the part specific to cc transfers.

I know a student who was from another 4-year school who was accepted as transfer to SCU - just followed the general transfer guidelines.
