SAP - Exceeded units, can I still get loan?

I switched majors a couple times and have taken many units between general ed and the pre-req courses for those majors. I really need the student loan because I cannot afford to pay up front each semester at a university.

I know I will be denied financial aid due to unsatisfactory SAP on the amount of units taken. I took out 1 loan once of $6000 and everything else has been paid out of pocket over the (long & slow) years of me going to community college. I was just getting ready to transfer to a university when I learned of this SAP.

Do people who are denied aid get disqualified from taking out loans too? Please help if you have any knowledge on the subject…

Yes, you are disqualified from receiving federal loans if you don’t meet SAP.
