Hey guys so the SAT 2 BIO score came out today and i got a 660
Is that good? What percentile is it? Is it good enough for schools like NYU or UPENN? By the way i am a sophomore who is taking academic biology. I want to be a doctor when i grow up. Also I am going to take AP bio senior year along with Physics Honors and i know itâs better to take the sat 2 before senior year so should i self-study for the Physics SAT and should i retake the bio sat as well?

If youâre aiming for the ivies youâre going to want SAT IIâs in the 700s. Iâm not sure what percentile 660 is, but itâs not in the ivy range. Itâs a good start, considering youâre only in academic biology this year. Retake it senior year when youâve had higher level biology.

Physics is a difficult class. I wouldnât recommend self-studying for the physics SAT II. Some of my friends in honors physics took it this year and they said it was hard.

My advice is to only take a science SAT II if you are in the corresponding AP class.

But i heard it doesnt count much for the admissions process if i take it in June of senior year?

If you took BioE 660 is the 64th percentile. If you took BioM 660 is the 52nd percentile [approximately]

Youâd have to take it in the fall or winter of your senior year, before your application deadlines. You wonât be finished with the course, but youâll have started AP Bio. Youâre going to have to do some self-studying to take it.
