I thought we were gonna finish 10 mins later than we did since i lost track of time, I took more time
I think 6 blank and 5 wrong can still make a 700, just praying
Second stanza of the poem about the sea/loneliness meaning?
That was a tough one, I forgot what I chose lol
Can you remember the gist? Can’t remember what the second stanza said, I think I mentioned an answer with isolation in it at some point
Actually there wasn’t an isolation in it
Is the question about God decree? anyone remember that?
Something something hollow moon, nightingale sings from its glen.
I think the answer was decree.
I shouldn’t have left 6 blank
For the one with Sophia and the mother. What did “supremely” contribute to the essay? And what was an example of the pretension; was it that children should feel grateful to their parents for bringing them into the world?
Is there a human depravity an answer as well?
I think pretension was the parent placing expectation on child, and supremely was the ironic sympathy nut that was a tough one
Oh that was the stirring of romantic emotion for the nightingale. Supremely shows how both characters take their viewpoints for granted. Yes it was that children should be greatful
@youcanttrackthis I thought it was that the expectation because its like most other parents…
I’m 100% sure about the grateful one, but I’m not 100% of supreme. Thought it could be construed to mean the narrators sympathy for Sophia, there was no sympathy within the passage for Sophia’s predicament. Instead, the writing sympathised with the mother, suggesting how spoilt Sophia was. At one point it even justified her view of the low class of teachers by comparing them to chauffeurs today - clearly the view of the narrator and not the mother.
Human depravity wasn’t an answer I got… What was the question?!
Also. Was the answer to one of the later questions refusing to wash the disehs or insiting on a career. I thought insisting on a career was an allusion to Sophia’s insistence to be a teacher so dishes was teh answer
- Was the “suitable” question socially acceptable? 2) also the chauffeur question was something related to social standings right? I felt the anti-teacher is more social than economical
Also 3) What did you guys put for the one that said other parents would condemn sophia for the follow EXCEPT? I put the kitchen chores one
Was the mother seemingly nonchalant? Was the girl inadvertently condescending or something?
