Hey guys,
Im currently a junior and was wondering if studying for the math sat 2 over summer and taking it during September would make a tremendous boost in my application. Right now, I have a 32 Math ACT and 3 B’s and 3 A’s in my math classes. I will also be taking Calc AB my senior year. I am interested in applying to NYU stern and chicago university. I have a 3.73 unweighted and 4.0 weighted GPA. Is my math scores competitive enough for these schools, or do I have to take the math sat 2 as well? Thanks for the help!

By Chicago university, do you mean UChicago? If so, I’d highly recommend you take math 2.

There are no tests in September…

Take Math 2 anyhow, but there is no september date, earliest is October

oh yeah sorry haha I meant in october. Alright i will study for the test over the summer. Also, would studying for the Math sat 2 test be good review for Calc AB which I am taking senior year?

Calc AB hardly uses anyhing from pre-cal besides trig. Math 2 is all pre-cal anyway, so it’s not really going to help you out much. Be solid on your trig, though. Calc AB is pretty much all new stuff.
