SAT 4x = rejection/looked down upon?

I’ve browsed many threads about multiple retakes and they all say that taking it 3x is OK, but more than that will make college admissions officers look unfavorably at you. Is this really true?

I took the SAT in Oct, May, and June. Much to my dismay, my May scores were similar to my October scores (although I had taken MANY practice tests). In response, I stupidly took it again in June. I am hoping that I broke 2100 at least, but I fear that my CR/math scores will not be above 1450, which is what I need for the scholarship to my SAFETY school. College admissions this year will be SO competitive and i want to get the highest scores that I can.

^that’s only for class of 2010

darnit! if i only i was one yr younger!

Well, the worse they could do is average out your scores. :|

nope. They really don’t care. Some anecdotal evidence; one of my best friends took the SAT 4 times (crazy asian parents, you all have heard how that goes). She went from 1850 to 2010 at the last try, and she got into Columbia, Johns hopkins, northwestern etc.

thanks for the help!
