<p>Hi,</p>
<p>I am a graduate student in Engineering from UW-Madison collecting some data for an idea for an SAT/ACT tutoring website. This website would connect college students that are interested in becoming tutors with high school students seeking SAT/ACT tutoring. This website would have three goals in mind:
- Provide a social platform aimed at connecting college students with K-12 students,
- Help college students develop their teaching and communication skills, while earning money on the side, and
- Provide a fun, accessible, and affordable alternative for K-12 students to prepare for college.</p>
<p>Some technical details:
This website would facilitate tutoring through providing instruction materials, communication channels (message center/forums), and webcam “face-to-face” tutoring. Tutors are allowed to teach multiple students at a time, but are reviewed by students (exactly how the reviews/ratings will be used is TBD, but perhaps students can see these ratings before signing up for a time with the tutor).</p>
