Is ACT considered key for east coast colleges vs SAT for west coast colleges? My D22 got a 1570 in SAT. She has ACT scheduled mid July. She is trying to figure out if she should take ACT or skip it. Thanks in advance for pointers.
Skip it. ACT was never big for east coast schools. Nowadays, some east coast kids do take it because for some kids, the ACT is easier to improve with prep. But that SAT score is fantastic, stellar for any school in the country. She’s done. No need to take an ACT whatsoever. Also no need to take the SAT again, of course.
