<p>I wanted to know how much SAT scores are valued in top state schools like UT Austin and Berkeley compared to ECs. Do they even care about science research/competitions/club membership?</p>
<p>How much of an advantage for admission would it give to get a 2300 vs a 2150 for top state schools?</p>
<p>Basically, I’m trying to overkill my SAT scores to make sure I get in despite my very weak ECs and class rank. That’s why I aim for a score that is way higher than the average at those state schools.</p>
