SAT advice please

Hello guys,

normally I just laugh at people who are very very competitive and want to retake something like 2200+. My situation is this: I'm applying to Ivies, and took SAT:

SAT Dec 2170 (710M, 690CR, 770W) from 1990 (all scores lower or the same) in SAT Oct.

I'm quite happy with my score, although Math, being my strongest subject, is weirdly low. Still, I'm happy and will not take SAT.

The question is, should I retake SAT Subjects in January: I have 650 US History and 740 Maths 2 (I would retake Math2 and perhaps take Math 1 and Physics for the first time)?

I'd have to study everything from scratch for physics and honestly I'm quite reluctant as I do not feel that increased Subject scores are that big of a deal, then I'm applying to the best schools in US.

Yes, and I'm an international. Please give your opinion.

Yes, retake them.

Which ones? Math 2 only or should I also try to do Math 1 (it would perhaps strengthen my application math-wisse?) and Physics (which I know nothing of yet). US History, I'm afraid is out of the question, I've done the best I could...

Take Math II. Unless you can get 750 or higher on math 1, math II is probably better. I would say take Physics because your current scores are low, but I don't know how high you will be able to get in that. You should aim to have your subject tests 750 and above.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, the additional test would cost 22+28+11+11 dollars (I'm international) and together with sending SAT scores, that's the hell a lot of money if the chances increase only so-much... On the other hand, if I already did so much to apply, why not maximize all the opportunities and retake. The thing is it would very very hard on my parents if I took the additional test.

Perhaps there would be other opinions? I'd really appreciate it.

I think 650 for History is pretty weak, I'd retake them if I were you.

Are you familiar with collegeboard's free SAT sends? If your register to take subject tests again, you can send your new results and all of your old ones to 4 schools, I believe, free of charge.
