Basically, I have started to “hardcore” (sorry for the lack of a better term) study for the SAT; yet I feel as if my studying plan is not good enough. I currently have the 2005 and latest blue book along with a Barron’s 2400 guide and a Barron’s SAT writing workbook. As I read more and more threads on CC I feel as if I need every single book made (slight exaggeration
). Along with the anxiety of failing, I feel the way I study is ineffective. For example, I tend to create a mindset saying “Today, I am going to complete a practice test from the blue book.” Yet when I begin, I come to realize that I am in complete shock in how many I am missing and take excessive “breaks”.

So I guess my reason behind posting this thread is to:
- Gain tips on overcoming anxiety when practicing and persevere through the practice tests.
And - Gain tips on how I should go about studying. For example:
-Use the Practice tests in the blue book sparingly only to simulate the SAT and work out of bootleg books like Barron’s?
Or
-Complete a section here and there out of the practice tests in the blue book along with the bootleg books.

SAT range: (with excessive breaks)
~1900 (first ever practice test)
