SAT and college applications

<p>I’ll be applying to colleges in the next few weeks (UF, FSU, UCF, and USF). I want to have all of my applications submitted by mid-September or earlier. I am just concerned about my SAT score of 1740. I plan to take it again in October.</p>

<p>I have yet to submit any of my test scores to colleges, and I definitely do not want to submit the current SAT to any of them. From what I’ve seen, colleges cannot see them if you do not send them.</p>

<p>When I submit my application do I tell them I am taking the SAT for the first time in October, or will they find out otherwise? I do not want to say I am retaking it because I do not want them to see my previous scores.</p>

<p>What should I do?</p>

<p>Check here for each school’s policy. If a school says you can send your highest scores from each section, then you don’t have to send the other score.</p>
