<p>A 1980 is not a “horrible” SAT score. What kind of schools are you applying to (you write “10 schools”; does that mean top 10 schools?) However, to answer your question, great extra-curricular activities certainly do enhance the application, but they won’t make up for low SAT, GPA, etc.</p>
