SAT as way to make up for poor grades in single class?

Hello all,
Sorry to be today’s stereotypically anal sophomore-on-CC. Anyhow, I’m taking Algebra 2/Trig/College Algebra/Analytical Geometry this year (yep, that’s what my school calls it; we also call gym Kinetic Wellness) and have about an 82 at the moment. I have A’s in all of my other classes and am working my arse off to try and bring the 82 up into ~A- range, but that might be tough. Anyhow, I took the PSAT practice test last night (without studying at 10:30PM in my kitchen) and got a 70 on the math section. If I study hard and score somewhere in the 750-800 range on the actual SAT math section, might that make up, at least in part, for 1-4 B+'es in math classes throughout HS?

Thanks,
wmmk

It would cushion it to some extent and it certainly wouldn’t hurt.

Best way to study for the math is to just do practice problems. Practice practice practice. The SAT was less about actually knowing how to do math and more about getting familiar with the types of questions.
