My daughter must have authorized College Board to send her scores when she took the school day SAT. She made a 1250. She has a 29 on the ACT so we were only going to submit that score. Will the SAT hurt her if a school generally starts acceptances with an ACT that is 29 and and SAT that is 1330?
First…the college board sent this because they were authorized to do so…it wasn’t something automatic that they did without your daughter giving consent.
Second…the vast majority of colleges will look at the better score you submit. So if her ACT is the better score, and that meets their bar, that is what they will likely use.
I hope she has some other less competitive colleges on her application list.
