My blue book scores are ranging crazily throughout the blue book! HELP! My test is in a few days and I do not know which score is my accurate placement. My scores were ranging from 1710 to 1780 to 1680 and now to 1620(test #7) too many distractions on this one. What should I do? My highest was 1780 from test #3 or 4. Which score do I trust?
There is no metric for trusting a single score or test. Your score may vary throughout practice tests. I took 7 out of the 10 blue book practice tests, and my score range was from 2000-2160. While my math and writing scores tended to either stagnate when I didn’t study or improve when I did study, my critical reading score fluctuated a lot (from 630-730) mostly because of the varying difficulty of the passages.
The only thing you know is the general range you’re scoring in and what you need to do to maximize your score on your official test date.

Are you saying you scored 1620 on OG Test 7 or a score range of 1520-1770?
Tests 4-10 from the Blue Book are not actually administered tests, so you cannot convert raw scores to exact scaled scores. Although it may be tempting to convert 1520-1770 to the midpoint of the range, this would not be a valid procedure. A slightly lower raw score from one test to another may indicate that you really performed less well, or just that the test was harder and the curve would have been more generous.
