SAT Breakdown

Ok, so I was happy with my SAT scores, 1480/2260, but the breakdown of the scores are really spread out, CR:800, W:780, M:680. Are colleges going to be accepting of a math score that is dramatically lower than the others or are they really focused on having a totally well rounded student. (I’m talking colleges like UPenn, Brown, Gtown, Dartmouth, etc.)

I’d also like to know the answer to this, as someone with an initial score set of 750CR/720W/640M… particularly for liberal arts schools like Wellesley or Amherst.

bump…

No. Your chances will greatly be enhanced by raising the math score. This is not to say that you can’t get in, just that your chances go up considerly as you go beyond their median score in both CR and M.
